Thermal spraying

With thermal spraying, a metal, metal alloy or metal compound in powder or wire form is melted using a thermal spray gun, and then sprayed onto a surface. This creates a high-performance coating with wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, electrically conductive or insulating properties, or a combination of these.

Sietzema Techniek provides various types of thermal spraying. Each technique has its own characteristics. In the case of HP-HVOF spraying and powder spraying, the coating material is introduced into the gun in powder form, unlike wire spraying, where it is in wire form. Another difference is the fuel used to power the gun. For example, our HP-HVOF spraying technique uses ethanol, an eco-friendly choice because the fuel is entirely natural.
